My friend Jay Wallus forwarded the link to this great commencement speech given by Amanda Palmer (of the Dresden Dolls) to the graduating students this year at the New England Institute of Art in Boston. Those of you who work in any kind of creative field will recognize what she is talking about.
I love the idea that creative people figure it out as they go along, without knowing what the end result will be when they start. Amanda talks about having the courage to move forward anyway. Great stuff.
